The Serengeti is a land mass full of exotic wildlife. It’s a place where you can spot the cast of Lion King, a leopard hiding in a tree, or birds that look as though they’ve flown off the page of a Dr. Seuss book. No matter what you see though, words and pictures certainly won’t do it justice and you should get yourself to Sub-Saharan Africa asap to see for yourself.

I have been on 8 safaris in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Botswana. It’s hard to say which was the best location, but Chobe National Park in Botswana, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti stand out above the rest.

I highly recommend doing an overnight safari so you’ll get the most opportunity to spot wildlife. Besides the sunsets on the African plains are out of this world!
